"You'll nev- (gasps) I- I almost said it! I- I mean, you won't get away with this, Captain Claw! Peter Penguin always wins!"
—Dinglebell

Peter Penguin is an episode of the television series Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater that is based on the story of Peter Pan.

Story[]

Fly away to Never-Say-Never-Land as Hello Kitty helps rescue Dinglebell (My Melody) from the wicked Captain Claw (Catnip) in this enchanting adventure culminating in a pie fight to the finish!

Plot[]

Before the show, My Melody was getting ready when Hello Kitty asks where her wings are, as she realizes that Grandpa Kitty still has them. Grandpa Kitty was just about to finish working on them as Melody grabs her wings in a hurry before Grandpa could even finish tightening the flight gear.

The story begins in a normal neighborhood with two siblings, Hello Kitty and Chip, who were playing pirates that night as they start fighting each other with pillows. Kitty eventually gives up, much to Chip's disappointment saying that "Peter Penguin would never give up," but Kitty says that it's enough for it's getting late. Chip explains how Peter Penguin is his hero from Never-Say-Never-Land, and that one day they will meet him. Suddenly, someone comes in through the window. He introduces himself as "the one and only Peter Penguin," but Kitty doesn't believe in him, so Peter then proves himself to be real by spreading magic dust from his pouch and begins to fly. Peter needs Kitty and Chip's help as true believers; the evil pirate, Captain Claw, has captured his little fairy friend, Dinglebell, and his holding her prisoner in her ship, and so he needs them to come with him to Never-Say-Never-Land and rescue her. They accept to join, and he grants them the ability to fly. Before going, Peter advises them with the one rule about Never-Say-Never-Land; never say the word "never," otherwise something terrible will happen. They understand about the rule, and the rescue journey finally begins.

In Never-Say-Never-Land, Captain Claw is preparing to look her worst whenever she catches her arch rival, with the help of some irresistible bait; Dinglebell. Ding proclaims that she won't get away with it, almost saying "never," because "Peter Penguin always wins." Claw then says that he won't this time, for she has a "secret weapon" cooked up. Then, the microwave dings and her meat is now warm and ready to eat, but before she could start eating, a horrible "Tick-Tock" sound frightens Claw. The sound had come from the Tick-Tock Crocodile as he squeezes into the ship through the window. Claw is hesitant as she does want him to sneak up on him again, for he has already caused enough for her tail, and had to get a mechanical one because of him. The hungry crocodile pleads for some of her meat, but Claw refuses and forces him out of her ship. Claw was glad for setting up that alarm clock on him so she can tell whenever he tries to sneak up on her. Ding says to "just wait until the clock runs down," and Claw begins to threaten the little fairy rabbit of throwing her to the crocodile if she doesn't remain silent.

Before Claw continues to eat, she is alerted by her crew; Peter Penguin, Hello Kitty and Chip are approaching the ship. Captain Claw and her crew prepare to standby with the "secret weapon." As they get ready to land, the pirates begin to fire away lemon meringue pies off a catapult. Merely avoiding some pies, Peter uses his magic dust and forces a few of them to backfire onto them, even Claw. The three cheer as Peter tosses his dust pouch into the air, only to be knocked off by a pie as he tries to go after it, but end up coming down as the effect wore off and land onto a tarpaulin, with Claw saying how nice of them it was to drop in.

Claw has Peter, Kitty and Chip tied and standing off the edge of the plank as she threatens to throw them overboard into the crocodile infested waters. Peter attempts to convince Claw of not doing so, until Claw accidentally says "Never." Claw panics of how she said "never," as she ends up saying it again, worried that she's getting a "double whammy" for this. Surely enough, something disastrous happens. A lightning bolt strikes the tip of a volcano, causing massive rocks to fly loose, striking the ship. Claw's crew prepares to abandon ship, meanwhile Dinglebell was still in her cage as a rock knocks it off, and all poor Ding could do was helplessly call for help as the room overflows of water. Peter, Kitty and Chip are bounced back onto the ship safely, but Kitty worries about the ship sinking. Peter tells her not to worry as they shall fly out of here, only to realize he still doesn't have his dust pouch. Claw is angry of Peter, vowing for him to pay as she drops the boat into the water. Peter eventually finds his dust pouch floating on the ship, and he, Kitty and Chip fly out safely. Peter asks Claw where Dinglebell is, as she says that "she can do down with the ship for all she cares." So Peter sets off to look for her until he finds her cage, frees the little fairy rabbit and they all fly back to land.

Dinglebell wasn't waking up, so Peter tries to use magic dust to revive her, but it doesn't work. There was only one thing they could do; wish her well with all of their heart. They wish her well as much as they can and eventually, Dinglebell finally wakes up saying how she's glad to see them. The three cheer as Peter tells them that as long as they believe, he and Ding will remain young and healthy. Dinglebell soon begins to test her wings to fly, only to end up flying backwards (because the wings weren't properly finished). As the ship has finally sunken, a miserable Captain Claw sulks as the crew begins rowing the boat, then says of what could possibly go wrong. Predictably, the Tick-Tock Crocodile shows up and gives chase. As they try to row faster, the boat is then turned over by Dinglebell flying backwards uncontrollably, as the crocodile continues to chase Claw.

Hello Kitty and Chip have finally made it back home. Peter Penguin says that he will be back soon, as long as they keep believing, then he sets off again and the two wave goodbye.

The story ends and the actors bow, while My Melody was still flying backwards as everyone takes cover. Finally, the wings run out of fuel and Melody drops unharmed. The crowd continues clapping and cheering as My Melody waves back at them.
