Anthony "Grandpa" White is Hello Kitty's and Mimmy's grandfather. He is the husband of Margaret "Grandma" White and his daughter is Mary White, Hello Kitty's mother. He appears as a white furred cat with a blue beret and glasses, often wearing a yellow shirt with a brown jacket. His first appearance in Sanrio was in 1979.
Having had a lot of life experience and sharing it very well during story-telling time, Anthony is also very artistic and expresses it through his colorful, happy paintings.
His birthday is on October 25th, making him a Scorpio.
In The Adventures of Hello Kitty & Friends, Anthony is the teacher of the class that Kitty and her friends attend. Anthony gets a lot of praise from his students, but he is often annoyed by Badtz-Maru's antics.
