"Pleased to meet you."
—Little Red Bunny Hood

Little Red Bunny Hood is an episode of the television series Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater that is based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

Story[]

Little Red Bunny Hood gallops into a whole heap of trouble when she travels to the Wild West to visit Grandma… and runs straight into Outlaw Belle Catnip and the Big, Bad Wolf Grinder!

Plot[]

Before the show, My Melody was in her dressing room with Grinder, reading line scripts. But when Grinder reads a line that makes her hooded ears quiver, the little rabbit gets frightened and hides in a vase. Poor Melody becomes nervous of how this is going because she fears that Grinder would actually harm her, but Grinder was only kidding since he wouldn't really hurt her. He decides that they shouldn't use that line ever again, which comforts My Melody while Grinder lifts her out of the vase as she thanks him. Hello Kitty checks in on the two before curtain time to see if they're ready, as they're the stars of the show, while Catnip tries to get central attention whilst presenting to the audience.

The story begins in the east American city of Boston, Massachusetts, where a young girl named Little Red Bunny Hood left home to visit her grandmother in the Wild, Wild West. It was a very long journey there. First, she traveled across the heartland of America by train, and then by stagecoach into the lawless, untamed west of the United States, where anything could happen, and it usually did.

As Grandpa Kitty gets his horses rushing to make it on time, he is then suddenly barraged by Belle Catnip and the Hole in the Ground Gang with water balloons. The stagecoach comes to a stop as Catnip and her men rob from Papa Kitty and Red.

The stagecoach arrives at Dog City, where Deputy Chip asks Marshall Sam if he can meet it this time, as Sam lets him do so. The stagecoach arrives at the sheriff station late, as Grandpa explains to his granddaughter, Hello Kitty what happened. Shocked to know that Belle Catnip's gang was behind the stagecoach robbery, Chip orders Sam to round up a posse as the latter has had enough of her criminal action, vowing to catch her this time. Papa Kitty's brand new suit was stolen as the crowd laughs in humiliation, including Red's suitcase containing her clothes and other things. Chip welcomes her to Dog City, greets himself, and helps her off the stagecoach as Red thanks him and greets herself too, asking if he can retrieve her things from Belle Catnip for her. Chip answers in agreement as he puts his hat back on unprofessionally.

Sam leaves Chip in charge of Dog City as the latter bids the former good luck and to be careful of Belle Catnip's gang, and so Sam sets off on the search. Kitty sees Chip with his "new friend," as he introduces her to Red who is pleased to meet Kitty. Kitty asks her of what brings her here; Red came to visit her grandmother, but she's not here, so Red hopes that her grandmother is alright.

At Catarosa Ranch, Grandma Kitty has been tied to a chair while Belle Catnip and her gang eat up her granddaughter's lunch. Catnip threatens to give her a cold shower if she doesn't stop talking, as Grandma vows for her and her men to be all wet when Marshall Sam deals with them. Catnip overhears this, saying how she's right because she hates being wet. They need a hostage, and Grandma has been elected.

Back at town, Kitty tells Red's steed to be good and to make sure nothing bad happens to her friend on the way to her grandmother's house, as the steed nods in agreement. Red thanks Kitty and Chip as she sets off on the journey as the two say goodbye.

On the way across the desert, a strange looking cactus walks on Red's path as she stops in confusion. Having her disbelief about that one cactus moving or even talking, it turns out that it's not actually a cactus; it's the Big, Bad Wolf. He asks her of where she's going and what's inside her basket, but Red just sets off again since she doesn't talk to strangers. The wolf tries to convince her to stop by saying how they just met and asking to have lunch, but Red has no time for either of them as she continues on her journey, so the wolf makes another plan to stall her so he can get his paws on that lunch.

Further down the path, Red stops for the wolf again, wondering what he wants now. The wolf offers her some flowers for Grandma, and Red finds him kind as the wolf goes to "look after" her lunch while she goes to pick some. Red's steed notices him chow down on a sandwich, as he tries to make an excuse for eating just one little sandwich. Not taking a single excuse from him, the steed kicks the wolf over the flower patch and into some cacti. Red comes back with a lovely handful of flowers for Grandma, while the wolf picks of the last cactus needle off him. Still hungry, the wolf has an idea; grab some meat at Grandma's house as he heads there.

At Grandma Kitty's house, the wolf finds the whole kitchen empty of food with nobody home either. Then, Red arrives at the door causing the wolf to panic, until he has an idea. Mimicking Grandma's voice, Red enters the house and into the bedroom where the wolf is seen dressed like a grandma. Red, who is slightly confused, finds her grandmother looking rather strange.

Little Red Bunny Hood: My, what big ears you have, Grandma.

Big Bad Wolf: The better to hear you with, my dear.

Little Red Bunny Hood: My, what big eyes you have.

Big Bad Wolf: The better to see you with, my dear.

Little Red Bunny Hood: My, what big paws you have.

Big Bad Wolf: The better to catch hold of you, my dear.

Little Red Bunny Hood: (nervous) My, wha… wh… what big teeth you have, Grandma!

Big Bad Wolf: The better to eat your lunch, my dear! (growls)

Little Red Bunny Hood: (screeches in horror)

Before the wolf could chow down on her lunch, Red crams the batch of flowers she had brought over up his mouth. Allergic to flowers, he sneezes out the window and into the well, unable to swim. Red asks him of what he did to Grandma, but the wolf tells her that he did nothing and that he could help her where Grandma is if she lets him out of the well. Accepting Red's promise, she drops a bucket tied to a rope into the well to pull him out.

Somewhere in the desert, Sam finds hoof marks belonging to the horses of Belle Catnip's gang, who likely stopped for water as he is getting close to their whereabouts. Catnip sees him, about to give him a surprise; she and her gang are going to circle back to town and rob the First National Piggy Bank. Red and the wolf see them along with a tied up Grandma, and they run back to town so they can set up a plan to stop them.

Kitty and Chip see the two in Red's steed rushing into town at high speed as Chip tries to stop them, causing a bit of a crash in the dirt.

Catnip and her gang arrive at the bank, and use Grandma to enact their plan as they head inside where the wolf is already there dressed as a bank teller. Before they could empty out the place of cash, the wolf, Chip, Kitty and Papa ambush them in a water balloon fight. Before Chip could arrest them as his hat falls on him, Catnip and her gang try to attack him, and that's when Red jumps into action using her umbrella as a shield, causing the balloons to bounce back and splash them. As they try to run, Sam was waiting outside the bank as he finally catches them with a lasso. Red has been reunited with Grandma as a flattered Chip thanks her for saving his whiskers with that umbrella trick of hers. Red admires his gratitude as the wolf clears his throat.

With Belle Catnip and the Hole in the Ground Gang arrested and thrown in prison, Little Red Bunny Hood and Grandma Kitty ride their steeds home at sunset as Marshall Sam, Deputy Chip, Hello Kitty, Papa Kitty and the Big, Not-So-Bad Wolf wave goodbye, and the story ends.
