Coro Chan (コロちゃん, Koro-chan; also romanized as "Colo Chan") is an easygoing bear character from the Japanese company Sanrio. He has brown fur and circular yellow croquettes on his cheeks (rumor has it he eats them when he's hungry). He lives in the town of Windermere in the north of England.
Coro Chan is one of the earliest known Sanrio characters, first appearing around 1973. He was commonly paired with "Little Honey", a precursor to Cathy; some late 1990s merchandise also shows him alongside "Daisy". Due to legal issues surrounding Cathy, Coro is now used as a solo character. He was Sanrio's first publicated custom character.
