Socrates is a boy angel character from the Japanese company Sanrio. He is one of the Seven Strawberry Angels, who live in Strawberry Kingdom. He helps The Strawberry King bring peace to the kingdom. Socrates wears a huge strawberry as a hat, a long-sleeve white gown, bare feet, and round eyeglasses. He often carries a book.

All people respect Socrates and consider him to be the smartest of the angels. Because of his intellect, Socrates has earned the nickname "Mr. Professor".

Socrates' name is shared with the real life figure of the same name who was a Greek philosopher who is credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy, and as being the first moral philosopher of the Western ethical tradition of thought.
