Tabitha Dean (タバサディーン, Tabasa Dīn) is a human girl character from the Japanese company Sanrio, created by Yuko Yamaguchi.
She and her friends live in the futuristic city as The Cool Kids of the 2000s.
Family and Friends[]
- Alain Allen - Allen was born on April 28th with a B blood type and is one of Tabitha's closest friends. He's a child prodigy with a PHD at Children's College. He's currently trying to teach his pets Vinegar, Doron, and Alfalfa how to speak. He has a notably loud voice and loves animals.
- Candy Roper - Candy was born on August 15th with an AB blood type, and is a girl with a ponytail who is a nurse at a children's hospital and also the singer of a band! She gets startled pretty easily and is quite expressive.
- Linda Louis - Linda was born on December 7th with an O blood type. She's a strong-headed lady who loves to talk and is currently working as a news anchor for Children's TV. She is very good at tongue-twisters!
- Alfalfa - A boy alligator who likes attention, especially from girls! He loves Vinegar's banana cream pie and is currently residing in Allen's bathroom.
- Vinegar - A boy lizard who gets lost in his own thoughts easily. Allen is teaching him how to speak, but he's still struggling to get words out. He loves fried eggs and cooking and is living in Allen's kitchen.
- Doron - A boy snake who is gentle, kind, and loves to count numbers. For some reason, he likes to be inside soap cans. He is good at jumping and also enjoys taking naps.

- Despite debuting later, Tabitha Dean shares more characteristics with Sambo and Hannah aside from sharing the same art style:
- Both Madonna and Candy Roper share the same hairstyle, although Candy's ponytail is shorter.
- Both have fashionable and sassy characters in their universes.
- While Sambo, Hannah, and their friends are sometimes referred to as "The Kids of Paradise Island", Tabitha Dean and her friends are called "The Cool Kids of the 2000s".
- Both universes have characters who own pets of the same species.
- Just like Sambo and Hannah, another character created by Yuko Yamaguchi, there exists a crocodile character in both universes drawn very similarly but with some differences to their appearance; Tabitha Dean's Alfalfa wears what looks like a bow, while Kowanie from Sambo and Hannah wears an earring.
- Both use simplistic patterns in character designs; for example, polka dots and triangles are regularly seen.
- According to their debut information in the Strawberry News, an OVA was planning to be made of Tabitha Dean and her friends, but nothing was announced or shown in the magazine related to the animation past it's initial mention. However Tabitha Dean and other related characters such as Allen would cameo in a few Sanrio films such as Taabou no Ryuuguusei Daitanken throughout the years the character was active.
