Thus, Keroppi and his friends Teru Teru and Den Den set out on a grand adventure for Thunder Mountain to get it back!

Synopsis[]

This is the story of Keroppi's great belly button adventure, and it starts with Teru Teru and Den Den asking Keroppi, who was taking one of his naps dreaming that he was a crown prince on a mission to find himself a belly button, if he wanted to play with them, but he doesn't respond. They then decided to wake him up by yelling out loud, and he wakes up. Keroppi starts to explain to Teru Teru and Den De] that frogs didn't have belly buttons either, but his dad, Keroppa has seen them on his other patients. He treated a young raccoon (mistakenly called him a bear) named Pokopon who had one just the other day which made Keroppi get the idea to go to his village to take a look at his belly button.

Later, Keroppi, Teru Teru, and Den Den start to set off to Pokopon's village since they have gotten some directions there, and they were walking happily through the beautiful countryside. Along the way, they ate the delicious lunch that Keroppi's mom had made on an old tree stump, and when it started raining they just kept ongoing. Soon, they made it to the village, and they meet Pokopon's sister, Hana, who explains to them that Pokopon's belly button was stolen this morning. Pokopon was falling asleep on the village bench after practicing his stomach drumming. He was so tired that he didn't wake up when it started to rain. Suddenly, a very strange storm surrounded Pokopon and floated back up to the sky taking his precious belly button with it which made him stay in his room for a long time without coming out so Keroppi decides to get the belly button back for him.

Hana then told Keroppi everything she knew about the belly button theft, and soon, Keroppi and his friends were on their way to cloud mountain which was the highest point in all of the land, and that was where she told Keroppi he would find the cloud people and Pokopon's belly button. The mountain was so high that they walked high into the clouds. They then meet Goropikadon, but they didn't like visitors so Goro uses his bag of wind, Don uses his umbrella and Pika uses his drum to kick them out. Suddenly, Pika loses his drum which falls into the water, and starts to cry so Keroppi decides to retrieve it back for him. He gets the drum, but he falls into the water and still manages to get the drum for Pika.

As soon as Keroppi has dried off, the cloud people return to the village with him to return Pokopon's belly button. He had been just in time for the drumming contest and won first place, but Keroppi was proven to be the real hero and Pokopon gave him the ribbon that he had won as a sign of appreciation for saving the day. He was proud and soon, he and his friends were on their way home to tell everyone about their belly button adventure.
